Alfenas Dulce comes from the region around Alfenas, in Sul de Minas, Brazil.
The region is known for coffee cultivation: the municipality of Alfenas has a long tradition in coffee farming.
The coffee is typically 100% Arabica and sourced from various local varieties (for example: Mundo Novo, Catuai Amarelo, Catuai Vermelho, Acaia among others).
Grown at altitudes around 700–1300 meters above sea level (depending on producer and lot) which helps with slower cherry maturation and development of sugars. Our beans are natural (dry-processed) coffee — meaning the cherries are dried whole.
Alfenas Dulce has a good “everyday coffee” character – often regarded as a pleasant, easy-drinking coffee that works well in many brewing methods (filter, espresso, moka pot, etc.).
